Ok liberals, you want to stop doing business with the NRA? Please add these organizations to your list…

I find it very perplexing when the progressive socialist left takes a stance on something rooted completely in an absence of logic or reason. But what’s even more disturbing are those who will follow the liberal progressive left in their delusional, illogical and unreasonable insanity. And to what do I refer?

As reported by the Washington Post, a media outlet platform for the left (if you haven’t noticed), “If the #BoycottNRA movement were a land invasion, it would have blitzed across the lightly defended countryside of corporate America in the past three days, pressuring United Airlines, Best Western, MetLife and at least a dozen other companies — one after another — to do away with discounts and perks for National Rifle Association members.

But the boycott inspired by the Florida shooting massacre has stalled at the first stronghold of resistance: None of the video-streaming giants, Apple, Google’s YouTube, or Amazon (the company’s founder, Jeffrey P. Bezos, owns The Washington Post) have acknowledged a petition and viral demands to take NRA videos offline. If they do, and the world’s largest tech corporations effectively declare the NRA a pariah, boycotters have proposed plans to advance on the gun rights group’s power centers: its political capital and massive funding, which for decades have made the NRA one of the most feared lobbies in the United States.  Or the boycott could end here and, ultimately, fail to change U.S. gun laws or culture, as other anti-NRA campaigns have failed before.

The campaign went viral after the Feb. 14 massacre of 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School with a legally purchased AR-15 rifle in Parkland, Fla.

But the campaign has a prequel: a similar movement launched six years ago, when 20 children and six adults were gunned down at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Conn.

Gun-control advocates failed to hobble the NRA in 2012, which resisted calls for tighter gun laws then, as it does after all mass shootings. Nor was there anything like the string of corporate boycotts we see today. But as The Washington Post wrote at the time, the Newtown shooting accelerated Democratic politicians’ desertion of the NRA.”

First of all, we must understand that the National Rifle Association, founded in 1871, has a membership of some five million Americans. That’s right, it is made up of American citizens, so why is this movement targeting law-abiding, legal gun owning American citizens? Secondly, it’s not that Democrat politicians have deserted the NRA. The Democrat Party, as the 2016 presidential election evidenced, is no longer connected with mainstream Americans. It’s a progressive socialist party bereft of the so-called conservative “Blue Dog” Democrats who were supportive of the Second Amendment.

If the writer of this article wants to be honest, the two related factors in the Sandy Hook and Stoneman Douglas High School shootings are that the assailants were mentally unstable, as well as our schools are gun-free zones and not hardened. What we’ve also come to find out — no thanks to Broward County Sheriff, Scott Israel — is that the one school resource officer at Stoneman Douglas High School did nothing — along with the four other Broward County Sheriff Deputies who were at the scene. That information was probably known on Wednesday February 14th, upon review of the surveillance video, which was on a significant delay. Sadly, it took the local Coral Springs police department to reveal the truth.

So, what does the NRA and its members have to do with the cowardice of the Broward County Sheriff deputies? As well, what does the NRA and its law-abiding members have to do with the lack of engagement by the Broward Sheriff’s office for the dozens of domestic dispute complaints involving Nikolas Cruz?

The NRA is not an organization that protects gun manufacturers. It protects citizens, and their right to protect themselves.

Oh by the way, here are the “companies” boycotting Americans (so far): Enterprise, Hertz, Avis Budget Group, True Car, North American Van Lines, Allied Van Lines, First National Bank of Omaha, Delta and United Airlines, Best Western, Symantec, MetLife and SimpliSafe. And there are also financial institutions seeking to pressure gun industry manufacturers through the government initiative, Operation Choke Point.

Maybe these “companies” and the left should be boycotting the mental health associations that will not divulge mental records with law enforcement agencies because they claim it’s a violation of HIPPA rules. Now, that’s something the NRA does support, because we need to ensure firearms do not fall into the hands of the mentally disturbed. As well, we need to harden our schools and effectively train volunteering teachers, to include retired military. So, tell me again, why are these companies boycotting law-abiding Americans who are NRA members?

Remember, it was an NRA member and trained firearms instructor, Stephen Williford, who ended the rampage at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas…doing so with an AR-15. Now, these “companies” are boycotting Mr. Williford? Hmm, where is the logic in that? Perhaps these companies should be boycotting Broward Sheriff Deputy Scot Peterson who cowered as Nikolas Cruz gunned down innocent students and teachers. I guess the issue with that assertion is that it makes sense, and we all know the progressive socialist left never makes any sense, resorting instead to reactive emotional rantings.

If we’re to use this as a model, then the beer and alcohol industry should be boycotted every time there’s a DUI death. No, actually, we should ban the car that was being driven, at least the car company – or heck, everyone who drives cars.

Those who want to compare this to the #metoo movement, well, we should boycott Hollywood for the incessant amounts of sexual abuse that we’ve come to know. Heck, we should boycott NBC — after all Matt Lauer was there and seemingly they knew of his troubling, egregious, and horrific actions.

Then again, every day there are children who lose their lives, in a most barbaric and savage manner at the hands of an organization called Planned Parenthood. I mean seriously, Planned Parenthood dismembers unborn babies and then sells their body parts. When are these “companies” going to boycott Planned Parenthood and its members, and we can talk about their lobbying efforts to ensure they can continue to murder unborn babies? If folks are going to cry “blood money” when it comes to NRA members, which is irrational and illogical, then what does one say to Planned Parenthood members, supporters, and benefactors?

This whole boycott scheme, driven by the George Soros funded Think Progress far left organization, isn’t grounded in reality but rather a political ideological agenda. The left wants — just as Hugo Chavez did in Venezuela — complete disarming of the American people, and the National Rifle Association, ya know, those folks who “cling to their guns and religion,” are in the way. So what does the left do? What they always do, seek to destroy any and all opposition.

So, again I ask, rhetorically of course, what do law-abiding legal gun owners, members of the National Rifle Association have to do with the shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School? Not a damn thing. The sad reality is that we, the members of the NRA stand in the way of the desire of the progressive socialist left. The Second Amendment enables us to be citizens, because we have a right to be armed, one that is not to be infringed. The progressive socialist left doesn’t regard that as a right, as it’s not part of their ideological agenda. They prefer subjects.

These “companies” will in the end do more harm to themselves by joining this call to boycott. I can tell you I won’t be using any of these rental car services, and I’m a major user of Enterprise rental. As well, the left is driving more Americans into NRA membership due to their illogical, agenda-driven quest.

So, as I conclude this missive, guess what? I’m headed over to Crossfire Range in Flower Mound, Texas to exercise my Second Amendment right.

You know what is pathetic? The liberal progressive left and these “companies” are in essence boycotting American women who want to secure themselves from harm, danger and threats. If anything, the lesson learned from the Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy and the Sutherland Springs shooting is another instance of federal law enforcement failure. A trained NRA member, a private citizen responded…but these are the type of folks the left wants to destroy, and companies want to boycott.

Y’all elitist gun control advocates of the progressive socialist left and these “companies” have seriously lost this debate.

Imagine this, what if “companies” had boycotted the Concord Gun Works in Massachusetts back in 1775?
