Sarah Palin announced Wednesday she will not run for president in 2012.
The former Alaska governor and Sen. John McCain’s vice-presidential running mate in 2008 broke the news in a letter to supporters, which conservative talk radio host Mark Levin read on his show Wednesday evening.
As Palin told Levin, “I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I can be on the right path, not as a candidate for president at this time — and we’ll see what the future holds in terms of me personally in a political career. But in the meantime, all of us — let’s join together to wake up America, put us back on the right path. We all have a role to play in this.”
