Father Pavone: Joint Efforts with People of Good Will

This reflection is taken from my book Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day, which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org

“Service of the Gospel of life is … a valuable and fruitful area for … practical ecumenism … and joint efforts with the followers of other religions and with all people of good will” (John Paul II, The Gospel of Life, n.91).

Reflection: If your child needed emergency medical attention, you would cooperate with the medical technicians, no matter what their religion, to save the life of your child. Isn’t it only right, then, to cooperate with people of a different religion in order to save the life of someone else’s child?

Prayer: Lord, give us the wisdom to cooperate with everyone in the fundamental task of saving lives. Amen.
