Nancy Pelosi, Collateral Damage and the Cost of Socialism

Facebook has become a battlefield for anyone desiring to push their agenda.  Never mind facts, just make sure to slant your argument in such a way as to cut the legs off of anyone who might disagree.

That brings us to a ‘poster’, call it what you will, showing a statement attributed to Nancy Pelosi, supposedly on CNN yesterday (date not provided).

Here’s what Nancy was quoted as having said:

“Once we take over, those who don’t share in our views, will SUFFER COLLATERAL DAMAGE”, the way it appeared on the poster.

The actual quote:

“We have to have total clarity about what we do, when it comes to everything – a woman’s right to choose, gay marriage … whether it’s about immigration, whether it’s about gun safety, whether it’s about climate … I think that we owe the American people to be there for them, for their financial security, respecting the dignity and worth of every person in our country, and if there’s some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, well, so be it, but it shouldn’t be our original purpose.”

I suggest a more detailed examination of what was contained in the ‘actual’ quote since it is somewhat different than the one in the poster.  From her own mouth, Nancy Pelosi claims we need to have “total clarity about what we do, when it comes to everything”.

Let’s be clear, Nancy Pelosi supports what those on the left call “a woman’s right to choose”.  Why else would the newly elected Democrat House pass a bill which includes funding for world-wide abortions paid for by U.S. taxpayers ?  That perfectly clear position is based on the false premise that it’s a woman’s right to murder any unborn child.

But Nancy Pelosi said, “…respecting the dignity and worth of every person in our country, and if there’s some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, well, so be it…”  Dang it, those murdered children should have spoken up; collateral damage.

What I see is a denial of the very foundations upon which our nation was established; that part that covers; Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.  Those on the left see unborn children as nothing more than unwanted tissue structures, no different than an unwanted tumor.

Maybe you’re becoming part of that collateral damage if you disagree with wasting taxpayer’s money on anything other than U.S. citizens so I better not go into Nancy Pelosi’s crystal-clear efforts on funding illegal aliens, those who enter the U.S. without having gone through legal channels which have been established to protect American citizens from individuals who seek to take advantage of our charitable nature and naiveite.

We don’t need no stinkin’ wall!  So, there will be no negotiations with President Trump, the government stays shut down!

Do those who support Nancy Pelosi’s ‘actual’ statement really want to look deeper into the parts about gay marriage or her stance on gun safety (total control with eventual confiscation)?  How about that part about climate; how we should all be in favor of a monumental hoax intended to support a world-wide socialistic government which gains its money via a massive redistribution of wealth scheme.

What about, “If I had my way, sporting guns would be strictly regulated, the rest would be confiscated” ~ Nancy Pelosi   Yes, she actually said that.  Google it if you wish.

Those on the left would have you believe the 2nd Amendment gives hunters a chance to shoot Bambi or clay pigeons at the local gun club.  However; the 2nd Amendment doesn’t give anyone anything.

Rights don’t spring from which ever party is currently in power.  Rights existed prior to the formation of government.  Our Founders had the good sense to acknowledge this fact and protect individual rights from an ever growing, more powerful and tyrannical bunch of elitists whose only desire is power and control over those silly people who don’t understand how important it is that elites know what’s best for them.

When you read how Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, wants to be ever mindful of everyone’s financial security then we must certainly be grateful for our government spending like drunken sailors who’ve spent us over 20 Trillion Dollars into debt.  You have to admire that kind of financial security.  We can barely pay the interest on that debt; but these folks are looking out for our best interests.

By the way, while on the topic of individual worth, has anyone figured out how Nancy Pelosi filled her own bank account?  Reputable sources place her net worth at 120 Million Dollars (US) while others place it between 25 Million and 200 Million Dollars.  How do politicians get rich while in office?

“In 2011, 60 Minutes aired a piece detailing Paul and Nancy Pelosi’s participation in initial public offerings (IPOs) while having access to insider information. One example the report goes into is the fact that Nancy and Paul profited from an initial public offering from Visa at the same time regulations on the credit card industry were being considered in Congress. In total, 60 Minutes reported that Nancy and Paul participated in at least eight IPOs.

This was not illegal because, at the time, insider trading laws did not apply to members of Congress.”

Insider trading would get anyone else thrown into prison; but Congress figured out how to exempt themselves from the very laws they impose on the common folks.  Oh, never mind, there’s nothing to see here; move along.

I’m so glad we made sure to correct the misunderstanding as to what Nancy Pelosi ‘actually’ said.  Is there any need to explain the rest of that politically slanted poster?   All we need to do is sell our souls and accept what Democrats have planned; either that or become collateral damage.
